Josh Mahan is a consumer protection attorney on the Tauler Smith litigation team. His legal practice focuses on consumer rights and privacy law.

Background

Prior to joining Tauler Smith LLP, Josh Mahan worked as an Investigative Counsel in the Office of the Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Justice. During this time, Mr. Mahan conducted numerous reviews and misconduct investigations involving senior Department officials.

Mr. Mahan also previously worked as a Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice, where he investigated and prosecuted cases involving law enforcement misconduct, hate crimes, and human trafficking.

Honors & Awards

Josh Mahan received the Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Service – the highest honor at the Department of Justice – for his work prosecuting a civil rights conspiracy involving numerous law enforcement officers in the Los Angeles area.

Education

Josh Mahan graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2005 and summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 2002. After law school, Mr. Mahan clerked for Judge Eugene E. Siler Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
